RSPCA Assured annual review 2018

In 2018, we saw a distinct shift in food consumption behaviours with the rise of veganism, ethical buying and increasing environmental awareness. Co-op became the first UK-wide retailer to switch to 100% outdoor bred RSPCA Assured pork.

2017 saw Marks & Spencers became the first major retailer to source its non-organic, fresh milk from RSPCA Assured dairy farms. This a major step forward for dairy cow welfare and we hope other retailers will follow suit.

2016 was a great year for us, with increased support for the new RSPCA Assured label translating into increased numbers of producers and more animals benefiting from the scheme. And at the end of the day, that's what it’s all about!
